About Caitlin Parwana

Yoga has been a part of Caitlin’s life back to her earliest memories, mimicking her mother’s practice on the living room floor. While the shape of her own practice has gone through many changes since, the connection between prioritizing consistent yoga and maintaining both physical health and overall happiness has remained a defining lesson.

Caitlin completed her initial 200-hour teacher certification locally in 2015, and her 500-hour certification the following year at Samyak Yoga School in Mysore, India during an immersive 5-week study. Caitlin practices and teaches ashtanga, vinyasa, pre- and post-natal, and gentle yoga, though she has rarely met a type of yoga she doesn’t like. Caitlin strongly believes yoga should and can be accessible to everyone, and works to ensure her classes are appropriate for the skill, fitness, and energy levels of everyone in the room.

During her own first pregnancy, Caitlin completed her prenatal yoga teacher certification with the New York City Prenatal Yoga Center. This intensive training combined with her personal experience built a passion for working with mothers both prenatal and postpartum. Caitlin draws from these experiences and continued study to help moms connect to their bodies and to find strength and comfort in all stages of pregnancy, labor, birth, and recovery.

A native of the area, Caitlin has spent the past two years living in Tunisia and is excited to return to the Saratoga yoga community. When not teaching yoga, Caitlin has worked as a vegan baker and chef. She is the mother of two girls and enjoys sharing her love of cooking and gardening with them.
